Gage Goes Skiing Again

Mike took Gage skiing again last Friday and Landen and I tagged along to watch. The day was beautiful and I was able to see Gage in action. He was so cute and seemed to really enjoy himself. After one run, I asked Gage if he was having fun. He replied, "Ya, thanks for inviting me!"


There's no two better buds then these. Landen was so supportive of Gage and instantly said he wanted to try skiing too. He quickly changed his mind after he saw what it entailed.

Mike goes snowboarding all the time and I have never seen him in action. I haven't even seen his snowboarding gear. Mike borrowed some short skis from a neighbor to be able to teach Gage better than he could riding a snowboard.

Gage is instructing Landen on the basics of skiing by using the pizza pose.

Wolf Mountain has what is called the "Magic Carpet" where you ride up a flat escalator and then ski down a really easy hill. Gage didn't need to start here, but I wanted to see what it was all about.

Landen got bored waiting for Gage to come down the hill. I should have made him wear his snowsuit. We spent most of the day sitting in the car while he played his DS. Luckily, I brought a book to read.

Mike and Gage stayed on the easy lift the first time they went skiing. They quickly got bored of it the second time around. This pic is them heading over to the big lift. At the end of the day, they should have turned left off the lift onto the easy course. Instead, they turned right onto the intermediate path. Gage was exhausted and it was really hard to make it down for that last run.
