I am seriously pathetic when it comes to sweets. I just cannot control myself. In my defense, I get it from both my parents so I had no chance whatsoever. I will eat just about anything that is sweet, chocolaty whatever. It would be fine if I could just have a cookie a day. Oh no that would be too easy. When I buy a bag of cookies, I have to eat the entire thing in a day. When I bake brownies, the entire pan is gone in a day. Then I know they are gone and I don't have to worry about them anymore. I also have a confession to make that many people know already. I get up in the middle of the night 95% of the time to go to the bathroom. After that, I am wide awake and instantly hungry. I go and get a snack to eat and it has to be sweet. Then, I can go back to bed. Mike gets so mad because sometimes I bring my drink and snack to bed with me and munch while he's sleeping. I thought moving into a two story would stop this habit because I would have to walk downstairs to get to the kitchen. This hasn't seemed to have affected me at all.
Sometimes when I buy treats, Mike has to split it and hide his portion or else he won't get any by the time he gets home from work. Tuesday morning (yesterday) I brought home from work thin mint cookies I had bought from the Girl Scouts. I gave him a box and I had a box for me. Mike likes to put his in the freezer and wasn't able to hide his. He wrote "Don't Touch Stacey" on the box and said he had counted how many cookies he had left. As I am typing I am finishing off my box of thin mints. What Mike doesn't know is I also bought two boxes of Somoas one of which is gone and the other I busted open in the middle of the night. I am seriously pathetic.

You are TOO FUNNY!!! I have to admit I am the same way when it comes to thin mints and tagalong's :-)
sheesh, it's a good thing you have good skinny genes otherwise you might be 3 hundy+ with all those late night sweets!
Stacey I love it! I am so glad you have come to terms with your "problem". But I guess in your case I guess its not a problem cause like Laura said you is sooo skinny!! This reminds me of the nasty CF protein bars or whatever they were, a few years ago. But you ate them anyway because they were chocolate flavored!!
I do this now that I am pregnant, but I will have to stop as soon as the baby is out or I will never lose the weight. You are so lucky to have good genes!
I am laughing so hard. Jeremy and Mike just looked at me and asked what I was laughing at. You have been getting up in the middle of the night since we were kids. And back then it was for bread or cereal. I am absolutely the same way with sweets though. I can't stop once I start. Thanks a lot mom and dad. If we buy Oreos I have to tell Jeremy to take them with him to school or they will be gone. And poor Ava has even gotten good at hiding things from me. So sad.
You seriously crack me up! If I remember right, hasn't this always been a problem? Especially getting a snack in the middle of the night? You are hilarious! Don't worry about eating these evil little cookies. We open a box and they are gone pretty fast. We LOVE the Samoas and the Thin Mints are pretty tasty too. We found some EXCELLENT substitutes for both cookies at the grocery store that are there year-round too.
You are lucky you have your Dads genes, he's so slim
ROFL! It's not just you! I do it too! I get the sweet craving before bed. As I'm tired and watching tv I want a munchie. It's horrible, and I've rubbed off on Dave too!
But here is my question: How the heck do you stay so thin eating all those sweets!
Oreo's are my downfall!
Hi Stacey! I tracked you down through Heidi's blog! Looks like you and your crew are all doing well, it's fun to keep in touch through the blogs :)

I can't have Jodi go to the store without getting me some kind of treat. I like the candy of the season; red hots, jelly beans, candy corns, I'm an addict. Sometimes if I'm lucky we'll make enough cookies to last a whole 2 days.
